A Summer Wedding at Antique Garage Tribeca

Erika contacted me while I was in Paris from 3 months. We decided to have a phone call via Facetime, which went well until one of us accidentally switched to Facetime, forcing us to face each other make-up-free in our Sunday hairdos and outfits. We laughed it off, and from there things felt quite comfortable. Erika and Robert hired me for their wedding, and a few months later I met them for the first time on the biggest day of their lives. Robert, being from England, wore a traditional tailcoat. Erika, on the other hand, wore a jaw-dropping dress with off-shoulder straps, which made her look like a classic 20’s Hollywood beauty. Which is funny, since Erika is actually from Mexico.

Anyway, the wedding ceremony was held at the Central Park Conservancy with guests from England, Mexico and New-York which gathered around the couple in a half circle. It felt very intimate and personal.

Afterwards, everyone found their way to Antique Garage Tribeca, a very cool restaurant with a speakeasy vibe. Embarrassing toasts were given, lots of laughs were had, and the night ended with some cocktails downstairs. Erika and Robert then moved to the Cayman Islands, and I was unofficially invited by Erika to come say hi. If I ever make it there, which is highly possible, I will make sure to meet with her and have a cocktail on the beach!
