Lauren and Tom’s boho wedding at Stone Barns was so simple and beautiful.
First of all, Lauren wore her mother’s wedding dress and didn’t need any alterations at all. How amazing is that?! 35 years after her mother walked down the aisle, Lauren looked absolutely beautiful, timeless, and perfect in the gown.
The weather cleared out for the day, which seems like a miracle for upstate New York in November, so the ceremony was held outside the farm. Stone Barn sits on the beautiful Rockefeller Estate in Tarrytown, and the food that is served there is grown directly on the land. Lauren and Tom exchanged their vows in the middle of the food they later ate!
We ended the day with a walk around the farm, in the greenhouse and the fields where goats roam free. It was a real treat to be able to see the whole process the food goes through -I was lucky to be served the same lunch as the guests, and I can tell you that it was amazing -.
I am really glad Lauren and Tom shared such a special day with me. Their family, their ceremony and their choice of location were all so wonderful and unique that it made me proud to do the job I do. Congrats to both of them!
