Hali is the only bride who ever contacted me on my personal Gmail account. She had found me through my fine art website, where I display all my weird and dark work. We hit it off right away, bonding over art (she is an amazing sculpture artist herself). I couldn’t meet her before her big day, but shooting with her felt pretty much stress-free. I knew she liked my wedding stuff, but also my personal work. I could be myself, and it felt great.
It was an extremely hot day at Scarsdale’s Woman Club, and fortunately Hali’s dress was light and easy to wear in such heat. I can’t say that much for Tim; poor guy was stuck in his suit all day.
They looked gorgeous and happy anyway, and their wedding was a mix of a very classy affair with really laid back people. Hali and Tim’s family were open and welcoming, and so were their bridal party.
Congrats to the happy couple, and I’ll see you in the Midwest!
