A SUNNY EDINBURGH LOVE PARTY
Stuart and Keiko’s story took me around the world.
They met in Austria, in German class. Stuart is from Scotland and Keiko is from Japan. Their wedding had guests from all horizons, with all sorts of accents and it was such an amazing experience being there with them all day. Weddings are all about history and culture and Keiko and Stuart’s wedding in Edinburgh was full of both those things. The fact that they got married at the Mansion House, a glorious stone building in the middle of the Edinburgh Zoo, only added to the richness of their wedding. The mansion looked like a gothic castle from the outside, and if it weren’t for the dozens of lemurs walking around the park, there was no way to tell we were in a zoo.
Keiko started the day in a beautiful traditional Japanese kimono which took about 30 minutes to put together. Stuart cried when he saw her walk down the aisle, and the whole ceremony was full of emotion. After the ceremony and a lunch overlooking the property, Keiko changed into a white dress before a crazy dance party where Scots would teach Japanese guests how to dance on traditional Ceilidh music.
It was an honor capturing Keiko and Stuart’s wedding at the Edinburgh Zoo, and I can’t wait to go back some day for more beautiful weddings around Scotland.
Congrats you two!
